What Have You Done Lately?

The White House, Liberal Left and Mainstream Media love to falsely point to Republicans as being negative legislators. They accuse the right of doing little in the way of creating alternatives, presenting ideas or being open to new ideas. They praise the left for doing all the work in pushing forward on Healthcare Reform, Cap and Trade and a litany of other agenda items. But the fact is the Republican leadership is working toward solutions. Their issue is that their voices have been drowned out by the same accusers and political adversaries.
John Boehner, the House Minority Leader, presented a plan in January of 2009 that he called “Better Solutions.” His plan was to offer a Republican response to issues at the forefront of the headlines in the form of solutions. Below is his most recent press release.
House Republicans Present President Obama with Compilation of GOP Policy Alternatives
Better Solutions Document Recaps GOP Reform Ideas Sent to President Obama & Congressional Democrats Over the Past YearWashington, Jan 29 -
Countering the White House narrative that Republicans have offered only criticism during President Obama’s first year in office, House Republicans today presented the president with a copy of Better Solutions, a compilation of GOP policy alternatives that were put forth between January 2009 and the present.
“In January 2009, I pledged that when Republicans disagreed with the direction being taken by President Obama and the Democratic majority in Washington, Republicans would not just be the party of ‘opposition,’ but the party of better solutions,” Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) said. “We’ve made good on that vow, and many of the alternatives we’ve offered to President Obama over the past year are compiled in this document, which we’re pleased to present to him today.”
In the weeks following Boehner’s “better solutions” vow last year, House Republicans formed “solutions groups” in key policy areas, including the GOP Economic Recovery Solutions Group, chaired by Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), and the GOP American Energy Solutions Group, chaired by Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-IN). The GOP solutions groups went on to produce detailed legislative alternatives that were presented throughout to President Obama, members of his administration, and the Democratic leadership in Congress over the course of 2009. The summaries of these legislative alternatives are compiled in Better Solutions, a document that which covers GOP reform proposals on everything from jobs and health care to government spending and transparency.
The Better Solutions document and other information on GOP reform alternatives is available at Solutions.GOP.gov, the solutions website mentioned by Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-VA) in the Republican address to the nation following President Obama’s State of the Union address on Wednesday night.

I’ve all but given up on healthcare, it may really never happen.
Still an Obama supporter, but now realize that any
real changes in Healthcare to save lives and improve
our system of care in the US has failed. I’m not a
delusional religious person, and not in a hurry to die
but further life extension via good medical care is now
mostly a long-shot for me. Perhaps I should look forward to my
next life in a “ghost-like” 11th dimension whereby I can
hope for one thing only – that I can still piss like a live-
human, so that as a spirit/ghost I can still piss on the
insane right wing in America that is destined to kill me.
Sure, say NO to pre-exisisting condition and yes to higher
premiums, NO to helping folks that did nothing to themselves
to be unhealthly rather let the US system condemn many to
the death penalty = life without proper and fair medical help.
Insurance reform – will kill million
